Indian Oil marketing companies did not make any changes to the price of Petrol and Diesel, while companies had given relief to consumers by cutting down the cost of both vehicle fuels a day earlier. In the international market, crude oil has returned again, so that the possibility of relief in the prices of petrol and diesel may come to an end in the coming days. Benchmark Brent crude has soared close to $ 65 a barrel. Crude oil in the international market rise more than 1 per cent.
In the General Budget 2019-20, last week, the Central Government has announced a hike of Rs 1 in the tax on petrol and diesel and the cess of Rs. 1 per unit Liter increased. According to the IndianOil website, in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai, the price of petrol remained unchanged at Rs 72.90, Rs 75.12, Rs 78.52 and Rs 75.70 per liter respectively, while diesel prices were revised upwards to 66.49 in all metros. The rupees remained at Rs 68.48 and Rs 69.69 and Rs 70.23 per liter respectively.
