Prime Minister Naredra Modi takes oath as Prime Minister of India for the second consecutive term. President Ram Nath Kovind will administer the oath of office and secrecy at the function. Swearing-in ceremony is set to begin at 7 p.m.
Three-layer security arrangements in place for the swearing-in ceremony, The first layer is provided by the VIP and Rashtrapati Bhavan security, followed by a layer of Delhi Police. The third layer will comprise paramilitary forces, DCP Madhur Verma said. Around 8,000 to 10,000 police personnel along with traffic personnel have been deployed as a part of security arrangement.
