Since long time, loan waiver scheme issues are hiting state government, state finance minister Sudhir Mungantiwar has said that Maharashtra government will expand the scope of the loan waiver scheme by July to cover more farmers and an additional budgetary provision for this purpose will be made in the supplementary demands that will be tabled.
On asked which norms will be relaxed in the existing loan waiver scheme, Mungatiwar told that he can’t give details as the state cabinet is yet to clear the proposal. “All I can say is that not a single genuine farmer will be left out.”
