Home minister of state Pradipsinh Jadeja has given major statement that online purchase of electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS) will also be banned in the state, Jadeja said. He added, “E-cigarettes purchased online will also be banned in Gujarat. The existing law will be amended in this regard. Currently, e-cigarettes have been banned in 36 countries of the world including 12 states of India.” The minister added that the state will also clamp down on the use of narcotic drugs. Sniffer dogs capable of detecting drugs will be inducted into the police force soon, he stated. Jadeja said that strict action will be initiated against officers responsible for areas from where drug seizures are made. At the same time, officers who do exemplary work in checking the drug menace will be rewarded.
