CM E-dedicates and lays foundation stone of various developmental works of 23 municipalities of the State

Chief Minister of Gujarat Mr. Vijay Rupani said that state government has planned to supply pure drinking water to 100% households through tap connection in all the municipalities of the state in next six months with a view to fulfill the vision of our Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi of’ ‘Nal Se Jal – Har Ghar Jal’.
Mr. Rupani E- dedicated and laid foundation stone of various developmental works of 23 municipalities of the state at a cost of Rs. 105 crores from the grant of Gujarat Municipal Finance Board.
On the occasion Mr. Rupani said that, Gujarat has not stopped development work even in Covid-19 pandemic. Developmental works in the state should not stop in any ways due to lack of funds, the state government will provide sufficient funds.
Road and sanitation works shall be completed in all the Municipal Corporations and Municipalities of the state before next Diwali. State Government has also allocated Rs. 160 crores for this, said CM.
Congratulating the people for these people-oriented development works, the Chief Minister said that the Covid pandemic has taught us a new way of life. Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, we have been able to stop the transition of Corona. As a result of intensive efforts 85% people have recovered from corona and the mortality rate has come down to 2.5% in Gujarat.
We are moving forward with all safety measures without any fear of Corona, in last four months, more than developmental works of Rs. 11000 crores have been e-dedicated and laid foundation stones in Gujarat. An amount of Rs. 1100 crores have been recently credited directly to the accounts for development works in the municipalities and municipal corporations of the state. We have not stopped development works in the state due to lack of funds, said the CM.
People with unauthorized tap connection in the municipal area do not authorize such connections by paying Rs. 500 else administration would impose Rs.5000 fine and tap connection will be cut off in near future.
The CM also requested all the office bearers to set up an online system for greater transparency, speed and simplification in all their services. The municipalities of the state purify the sewage water through the Sewage Treatment Plant, give that water to industries, for agriculture and, if necessary raise the water source by pumping it into the lake. He also urged everyone to use every single drop of water.
Chairman of Gujarat Municipal Finance Board Mr. Dhansukhbhai Bhanderi congratulated and said that, Under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani, the cities of Gujarat are developing in a balanced and comprehensive manner. State Government is constantly striving to provide basic amenities like water, roads, electricity, sewerage and sanitation along with developmental works in the cities of the state.
Commissioner of Municipal Finance Board Mr. Rajkumar Beniwal delivered his welcome note.
On the occasion MP Mr. Parbatbhai Patel, Mr. Mansukhbhai Vasava, MLAs, Collectors, Municipal Presidents and Vice Presidents, office bearers and officials joined the online session from several places.
