Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate and laying foundation of 18 projects of Railways worth Rs. 16369 crore in Vadodara SUB Will lay foundation stone of new building of Bharatiya Gati Shakti University to be constructed at a cost of Rs 571 crore.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting to Vadodara on 18 June 2022 attending a programme Gujarat Gaurav Abhiyaan scheduled at Leprosy ground. He will be laying foundation stone of 18 projects of Railways worth Rs. 16369 crore. The Prime Minister will inaugurate five railway projects constructed at a cost of Rs. 10749 crore and will laying foundation of 13 different projects to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 5620 crore.
Prime Minister will also lay foundation stone of the new building of the Bhartiya Gati Shakti university which will be constructed at a cost of Rs 571 crore. The Central Government is going to change the name of National Rail Transport Institute (NRTI) at Vadodara to Bharatiya Gati Shakti University. The National Rail Transport Institute was established in the year 2018 in Vadodara with a purpose to expand the rail road transport system and research works.
This year, special emphasis has been laid on PM Gati Shakti Yojana in the Union Budget. With this there will be rapid development in infrastructure projects of the country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the Ahmedabad-Botad railway passenger train after the inauguration of Palanpur-Madar Dedicated Freight Corridor constructed at a cost of Rs. 7250 crore. Apart from this, Lunidhar-Dhasa, Palanpur-Radhanpur passenger train will also be flagged off by the Prime Minister.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also laying foundation stone of Gandhidham Locomotive repair depot in Gandhidham and redevelopment works of Surat, Udhana, Somnath, Sabarmati railway stations.
Stone laying foundation of Vijapur – Ambilyasan, Nadiad – Petlad, Kadi – Katosan, Adaraj Moti – Vijapur, Jambusar – Samni, Petlad – Bhadran and Himmatnagar – Khedbrahma railway line gauge conversion works will also be done by the Prime Minister.
