Haryana Steelers team has entered the playoffs of the seventh season of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) by beating Gujarat Fortunegiants by 38-37 on Sunday, showing great will and courage. In this thrilling match at Tau Devi Lal Sports complex in Gurgaon of Haryana, Raider Vikas Chandola once again showed his luster for Haryana Steelers and completed Super-10. The Haryana Steelers opened the points account with the start of the match whistle. Radal Vikas consistently scored points and was supported by Prashant Kumar Rai and Vinay in this journey. Haryana Steelers’s team was trailing 14–19 by midnight. Captain Dharmaraj Cheralathan and Prashant Rai threw their full power on seeing the team trailing by five points.
At the start of the second half, Prashant once again showed amazing power and made four successive successful raids. Because of this, the gap between the two teams was reduced to double digits in the first five minutes of the second half. In an effort to give the team an edge, the Haryana Steelers defenders also worked hard. Under the leadership of Captain Dharmaraj, the defenders worked hard. With 11 minutes remaining, Dharmaraj achieved a crucial super tackle. Dharmaraja completed the 25th Super Tackle of his career with it. Meanwhile, Vikas bagged three points in a raid in the 33rd minute and returned his team to the match. With only three minutes left, Haryana took the lead in the match for the first time.
Development was also instrumental in giving Haryana Steelers an edge, who allotted the Gujarat Fortunegiants team. The score was on par with the last few seconds remaining and Gujarat raider Rohit Gulia was trying to get his team to victory in the match. However, in the last-minute scuffle, Haryana Steelers won the match when its defender Sunil pushed Rohit after the mat and thus Haryana Steelers won the match by a margin of one point. The Haryana Steelers team has to play its next match against the defending champions Bengaluru Bulls on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti at the same stadium on Wednesday.
