Without naming Pakistan, Paulomi Tripathi said the delegation “represents a mechanism that promotes extremism and anti-terrorism ideologies for the sake of petty political gains and suppresses the voice of women.” It has destroyed the lives of many generations of women and their families in our region and beyond. Referring to Islamabad’s habit of raising the Kashmir issue in various forums of the United Nations, Paulomi Tripathi said that making baseless allegations without any relevance to the agenda under consideration has become a habit of this country and has become the main topic of this delegation.
Paulomi Tripathi’s reference was to Lodhi’s remarks that he made during the 29th October discussion on Jammu and Kashmir. He insisted that India rejects these baseless allegations outright. He said, ‘The Council has not paid any heed to such fraudulent things in the past and we are confident that the Council will still do the same and ensure that such an agenda cannot provide any further help to terrorism.
