While addressing a public meeting at Mandla in Madhya Pradesh, PM Narendra Modi urged people to reaffirm their commitment towards serving the villages. Remembering the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi, the PM mentioned how Gandhi spoke about the importance of ‘Gram Swaraj.’
The PM said that while talking about rural development, budgets were important but, there was a shift in the discourse in the last few years. “People are now talking about the need to ensure that money allocated for a project is utilised and it is done in a timely as well as transparent manner”, he said.
