Amidst ongoing corona pandemic, ‘Dassehra Mahotsav’ was organized by Hare Krishna Mandir, Bhadaj as part of Vijayayadashami celebrations commemorating the pastime of the victory of Lord Rama over the evil King Ravana on Monday 26th October 2020 keeping all the necessary guideline in practice.
While speaking on “Dassehra Mahotsav: Respiritualisation through Culture”, Swami Sri Jaganmohan Krishna Das, President of Hare Krishna Mandir, Bhadaj said that the Dassehra season whip up the strong religious and cultural fervor. Hare Krishna Mandir, Bhadaj took the opportunity to blend the unique cultural and spiritual elements of God consciousness into the festivities and thereby organized its annual “Dassehra Mahotsav” at its premises. The eye captivating vista of Their Lordships Sri Sri Radha Madhav going on a joyous ride on the Grand Golden Chariot accompanied by devotees performing “Sankirtana” – chanting of holy names of Lord Ramachandra. Special Ram Darbar was set up for the festival.
Every year grand celebrations used to be organized that included Ravan dahan, Ram lila drama, etc but due to ongoing pandemic all these events could not be conducted as a part of festival.
