Vikas Dubey, India’s most wanted fugitive gangster was arrested from the famed Mahakaal Temple in Ujjain on Thursday morning, a week after he fled Kanpur after the killing of eight policemen who had gone to arrest him.
“Main Vikas Dubey hoon, Kanpurwala,” UP gangster said during his arrest in Ujjain.
Vikas Dubey is the main accused in the encounter that took place in Kanpur last week, in which a group of assailants allegedly opened fire on a police team, which had gone to arrest him. Eight police personnel were killed in the encounter.
