Netherlands, Germany and World Cup finalists Croatia qualified for the Euro 2020 football tournament here. Austria has also qualified for this tournament to be hosted in many countries. The tournament will begin in Rome from 12th June with 16 teams making it so far. World champions france, spain, Italy and England have already qualified while European champions Portugal are only one win away from qualification. The Netherlands needed only one point to secure their place in a major tournament after the World Cup 2014 and achieved this by playing a goalless draw against Northern Ireland in Belfast. With this, Germany also topped the group. The German team defeated Belarus 4–0 at Monchengladbach and qualified for the Euro for the 13th consecutive time. Croatia bounced back in the match played in Rijeka and defeated Slovakia 3–1 while Austria secured their place in Euro 2020 with a 2–1 win over North Macedonia.
