Australian cricket team coach Justin Langer says his team’s next and most important goal is to defeat India in their home series in 2022. Australia has recently announced a Test team for the home series with Pakistan and Langer has said that the management is currently in the process of preparing a strong team for the series to be held in 2022 with India. India lost at home to England in 2013 and since then they have not lost a Test series at home. Recently India won the 11th consecutive series by defeating South Africa at home and now if they beat Bangladesh, this number will increase to 12.
Langer said that it has always been difficult to win in India, but in the last few years, we have set this goal and in the coming times, we will give a tough fight to India in its home and we are moving in this direction.
Langer, who was appointed Australia’s coach in May 2018, admitted that the series with India is the ultimate one and his team is in a rebuilding position after the chunky ball tempering incident, so he is now thinking of a new direction for India at his home May consider defeat.
