The water in Sriram Sagar project touched to the total capacity i.e 1091 feet after a gap of three years. The officials alerted the people at downstream against venturing into the river. Eight gates of Sriram Sagar has been lifted due to heavy inflows of about 48,050 cusecs from the upstream. Around 25,000 cusecs of water are being released to downstream.
Around 5,000 cusecs of water is being released to the agriculture purposes. The officials have also asked fishermen and farmers in Balkonda, Mendora, Mamada, Khanapoor and Nirmal Mandal to stay away from the river.
