Akhilesh Yadav’s visit postponed, Section 144 imposed over Muharram in Rampur

Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav’s visit to Rampur has been canceled. He was about to march to Rampur in support of SP MP Azam Khan in 80 cases on Monday, but Section 144 is applicable in view of Muharram and Ganesh Visarjan in Rampur. Because of which Akhilesh has canceled his tour and plans to go on 13th and 14th September.
District Magistrate Anjaney Kumar Singh said that permission has not been sought on behalf of Akhilesh Yadav. Section 144 is applicable in the district. Permission to hold a large number of people has been canceled. The same rule applies to everyone. This is the program of the SP national president that he will come and meet the workers. No further permission will be allowed from this. DM said that he has been informed about it. The DM said that he has no information about the cancellation of his tour. They can come whenever they want to. Arrangements will be made according to the program given by them.
After the cancellation of the Rampur tour, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav while giving a press conference at the SP headquarters said that the entire program of the tour had already been sent to the district administration. However, the district administration has imposed Section 144 in view of Muharram and Ganesh immersion. Akhilesh said that for this reason the Rampur tour has been canceled. He told that now he will go to Rampur on 13th and 14th September. Akhilesh said that the program of the tour has been sent once again. He said that the district administration has full responsibility for security. On the cases filed against Azam, Akhilesh said that he has been implicated in which case.
Significantly, on the instructions of SP Patron Mulayam Singh Yadav, Akhilesh Yadav had made a plan to visit Rampur. During this time, he was going to meet Azam Khan and his family. However, opposition to Akhilesh’s tour was also seen. The Congress also write a letter to Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, anticipating riots in Rampur and the state from Akhilesh’s visit. Vice President of the Congress Minority Cell, Faisal Khan Lala had demanded Akhilesh’s permission not to allow him, saying he was causing unrest from the visit.
