No issues with Bahujan Mahasangh, will contesr polls in alliance : Owaisi

There were some speculations from different sources about a rift between All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi and Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) leader Prakash Ambedkar, but its now clear that no such problems are their. Meeting was conducted between All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi and Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) leader Prakash Ambedkar on Monday to decide seat-sharing for the Maharashtra assembly elections did not yield any result.
The meeting which was held in Pune further strengthened the speculation about the rift between AIMIM and Bharipa Bahujan Mahasangh (BBM) leaders placed in Maharashtra. “Prakash Ambedkar has issues with Imtiaz Jaleel, AIMIM MP from Aurangabad. Ambedkar is only willing to speak to Owaisi,” said a source.
But leaders from both the parties confirmed on Monday that BBM and AIMIM are still an alliance. When questioned about the alleged rift, Owaisi denied it and said AIMIM and BBM are still alliance partners. “It’s a pack of lies,” Owaisi told.
Siddharth Mokale, a VBA leader told that it has been decided that both VBA and AIMIM will fight together. “It has been finalised that the alliance will be intact for Maharashtra assembly polls. However, seat-sharing will be decided by both Ambedkar and Owaisi only. So, there is no rift,” clarified Mokale.
Prakash Ambedkar was willing to fight the polls with Congress and he was also willing to share 50% of the seats, but he is not willing to make an alliance with NCP. As on today, the Congress and NCP are an alliance. Even on Monday, VBA leaders were open to an alliance with Congress.
