DMK leader and Lok Sabha member Kanimozhi was speaking at a meeting in Broadway to protest against the administrative failure of the government in resolving the water shortage. Hiting out at AIADMK ruled state government was scared to get drinking water offered by “Communist government” of Kerala, as it would upset Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“Our leader M K Stalin even made a request to Kerala chief minister to send water. But our chief minister does not have concerns as that of the opposition leader,” she said, taking a dig at the AIADMK government for stating that Kerala’s offer was insufficient, even as Chennai was in dire need of whatever supply.
