Additional chief metropolitan magistrate Samar Vishal framed the notice against Mishra under Section 251 of code of criminal procedure. Jain had filed two separate criminal complaints against BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa and Mishra alleging that they had made defamatory statements against him in the media. The court will now hear the matter for framing of the notice against Sirsa on July 3 and has posted the matter against Mishra for July 8. Delhi court on Friday framed a notice against rebel AAP leader Kapil Mishra in a criminal defamation case filed by Delhi minister Satyendar Jain. In May, 2017, Jain, in his complaint, said that Mishra, who earlier headed the water department in Delhi government, had made a statement accusing him of giving a bribe to chief minister Arvind Kejriwal. Sirsa, Jain’s advocate Gautam Dhamija said, had alleged that Jain was involved in corruption and also involved in land scams. The court had earlier taken cognisance of the two complaints filed by Jain, one against Mishra and another criminal complaint against Sirsa.
